Manual wheelchairs usually use sling-style back support that doesn't provide appropriate postural support or pressure relief.
That's why the Zygo series aims to provide a lightweight, adjustable and easily installable solution that allows you more freedom of movement while allowing you to go places without being limited.
The Active Contour Mid back support model is a mid height shell with an open shallow contour that provides support for the lumbar spine and thoracic spine. This makes it suitable for users with moderate trunk mobility and strength. Furthermore its different height options allows the shell to reach the mid-thoracic or upper-thoracic region.
Furthermore it's designed for individuals who:
- Requires a solid back support to accommodate mild postural and stability needs
- May need posterior and lateral trunk support to maintain good posture alignment and enhance function
- Has mild to moderate torso asymmetries
