At Active Mobility, we want to make mobility shopping as simple as possible for occupational therapists, support workers, families, and, of course, people living with mobility challenges. With this in mind, we’ve refreshed our website, complete with new, easy-to-use navigation tools, more resources for clinicians, and more customer service touchpoints than ever!
A lot has changed, so we’ve put together some of the most exciting and helpful features to look out for on our new website.
Easier Navigation
One of our main goals in refreshing our website was to improve navigation for our customers, from the homepage to product categories, product pages, the main menu, and beyond. Here are just a few new navigation options.
Shop By Your Condition
Whether you have a new disability or are unsure what kind of equipment is available for your particular condition, our new “By Condition” page will be a real help. You can now filter products based on conditions, disabilities, and circumstances — for example, by selecting “Aged Care”, you will be shown products like walking canes, daily living products, commode chairs, and more relevant equipment.
You can access this feature via the main menu above.
Shop By Brand From The Homepage
With thousands of products available on-site, it can be overwhelming trying to find the perfect solution for your needs. We’ve added a “brand finder” under the main navigation bar, where you can narrow your search based on a specific brand and find the exact product you need.
Improved Filtering Options On Product Category Pages
When you navigate to a particular product category (like Electric Wheelchairs, for example), you now have the option to narrow down the products by your condition, the category of the item you’re looking for (e.g. bariatric wheelchairs), the desired brand, and preferred price. This makes the shopping process much faster!
You can also narrow down your search by selecting sub-categories at the top of the page.
More Information On Product Pages
On each product page, we’ve made it easier to find important information like product features and specifications, downloadable resources, customer reviews, and even compliance information (for example, iso ratings or whether or not a wheelchair or scooter has been crash-tested). You can access this information via the green tabs on the left of the product description.
You can also now enquire about a specific product on the product page!
New & Improved Hire Process
Hiring equipment is convenient and cost-effective when you need equipment for a short period, like if you have a family member visiting with mobility needs.
We’ve made the hiring process more accessible than ever before. You can click “Hire Equipment” near the top of the page for more information about the hiring process and the products (and weekly prices) we have available. From the selected product page, you can follow through to complete the hire request form specific to the product!
Promotions & Special Products
You can now find the latest promotions and products via the carousel at the top of our homepage! We’ll update this carousel with new product launches, special prices or sales (like Black Friday), and more. Plus, the menu shows the most popular product in the category, as highlighted below.
New Clinical Features
Our team works closely with occupational therapists daily. With this in mind, we’ve introduced a Clinical Support page filled with training events, opportunities, and information about our own clinical capabilities. Located above the main menu in the top right corner of the page, our clinical support section is set to grow in the coming months.
Local occupational therapists often order trial equipment for their clients from us, and we’ve streamlined the ordering process via this detailed trial request form, available under the “Clinical Support” menu. OTs can enter all relevant information, including client details, funding methods, medical history, etc — this allows us to find the right equipment and make necessary customisations to ensure the trial is successful.
Finally, we’ve added a team page where you can get more acquainted with us, particularly our occupational therapists. You can select your preferred product expert on the trial request form!
NDIS Resources
Clinicians and support workers now have access to additional NDIS resources and information via our new and improved NDIS page. This page is a valuable asset to clinicians and support workers, featuring popular NDIS product categories, downloadable resources and instruction manuals, essential FAQs, and more.
The page also includes secure forms to submit your and your client’s details and request invoices, product quotes, service and repair quotes, and more.
New Customer Service Touchpoints
Offering the best customer service in the industry is important to us, which is why we’ve increased the number of customer service touchpoints across our website. For example, towards the bottom of our homepage, we have a whole customer service department where you can learn more about our services, including showroom consultations and OT support.
New Blog Page
Did you know we have a blog filled with helpful information about products, conditions, and more? Our blog page is now much simpler and easier to navigate, and you can select a category to narrow down the articles to meet your needs and interests. Plus, we’re adding videos to summarise some of our popular articles in a minute or less — keep an eye out for them!
