How To Purchase From Us Through Your NDIS Plan?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has helped people living with disability obtain equipment that they need to keep being independent or to assist them with their daily routines.

Active Mobility is a registered NDIS provider and we have assisted many participants in finding the right equipment for them. We stock a variety of mobility scooters, electric wheelchairs, patient lifting hoists and daily living aids on our online store that people can click and purchase on.

One of the most common questions we are asked is how to claim through the NDIS if they’re purchasing from our online shop? In this blog we’ll give you a step-by-step guide on how to purchase your equipment through the NDIS.

1. After adding your item(s) into your cart and checking out fill in the basic information similar to the below screenshot. If you are an OT/support coordinator please fill in your name and details, not the participant’s name.
2. In the Shipping Method if the item(s) will be going to a different address please select ‘Different address’ and put in the address.

Now for the NDIS part.

If you’re claiming through the NDIS then under the question ‘What is your funding body?’ select NDIS. Then put in the participant’s DOB and NDIS number along with their full name.

If the participant is NDIS or agency managed then you may inform us from which funds we can use to claim the order.

3. After those details have been filled in if you wish for us to create the service booking on your behalf then please select ‘Yes’ at the ‘Claim the funds from my portal?’ question.
4. If you wish for us to claim your funds on your behalf then select 'I authorise AMS to claim money from my NDIS portal on my behalf'
5. In Payment details select Bank Deposit, this allows you to complete the order and will also inform us that this is an NDIS order.
6. Click on ‘Confirm & Process Order’
