People living with upper arm disabilities, neurological disorders or neuromuscular disorders often struggle with hand-related tasks, whether it’s holding a beverage, eating dinner or even just reaching for something. We understand the frustration, which is why we’ve developed an extensive range of dynamic arm assist devices to make tasks easier and help you regain your independence.
Assistive technology allows for the smooth, easy movement of the user’s limbs and enables you to perform tasks you would not usually be able to do. Thanks to the elevation-assist function, people with disabilities will have assistance with eating, educational and vocational tasks, personal care and community access.
Universal for both left and right arms and sized to fit children through to large adults, our arm assist devices are suitable for a wide range of users.

If you are feeling unsure about the right arm assist device for you, please get in touch with our sales team on (02) 9649 2111. We can provide expert recommendations and advice, or organise a demonstration of our products so you can determine which arm support will serve you best.
We want the very best for our customers, which is why we source our arm assistive devices from high-quality brands including Multilink, JACO and Armon. Each brand delivers strong, intuitive arm assist devices made from sturdy materials, ensuring the user’s arms can be lifted with comfort and ease.
All three brands create independence, freedom, self-respect and quality of life for their customers. Armon, for example, has a particularly strong foundation in arm assist devices. The founder’s daughter was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and to help her, he spent six years working with the Delft University of Technology to develop a revolutionary mechanism.
This is now at the base of all their current products.
With the user’s needs and desires at heart, all three brands offer reliable arm assist devices to improve your everyday life.
Arm assist devices are ideal for people living with upper arm disabilities, neurological disorders or neuromuscular disorders. Assistive devices are also suitable for:
Yes. Many physiotherapists across the country use arm supports as a rehabilitation tool for upper limb therapy and rehabilitation. They can also be used to reduce pain whilst recovering from a shoulder injury or reconstruction, or even breast surgery.
Absolutely. Arm assist devices are adjustable to suit the size and weight of the user. Of course, toddlers would have trouble fitting into arm assistive devices (especially devices with a girdle) so it is worth checking with the supplier before committing to purchase for an infant.<'/p>
The Multilink Dynamic Arm Support Device, however, is an excellent choice for children through to adults as it can be attached to tables, chairs and wheelchairs, while also adjustable for natural arm movement.
Yes! Our entire range of arm assist devices is adjustable to suit the movement and needs of the user. However, it is important to read through the product details and manual (if available) to check the weight capacity or contact the supplier for more information about the product and its usefulness for bariatric patients.
If an arm assist device doesn’t feel like the right choice for you, consider the JACO Robotic Arm instead. This six-axis robotic arm attaches to the side of your wheelchair and has a three-fingered hand that assists with reaching, grabbing, picking things up and so much more.
The JACO Robotic Arm is controlled by your existing wheelchair controller, whether it’s a standard joystick, chin control or even a head array. The arm simply connects to the ECU of the power chair control system, so you have complete control over the arm and fingers.
How do arm assist devices work? All of our assistive devices have different mechanisms, functions, capabilities and set-ups. For example, the JACO Robotic Arm can be mounted to the side of your wheelchair and allows you to control a robotic arm from the existing wheelchair controller. The arm also features fingers for better grip.
Other arm assistive devices provide support and follow the natural movement of your arms, like the Armon Pura. Featuring a mechanical mechanism, the device does not require an external power source and can be attached to electric wheelchairs, work chairs and more.
The Multilink Dynamic Arm Support Device can also be attached to these items but features a unique mobile arm support system with an elevation-assist function for a greater range of arm motion. This is great for eating and facial hygiene.
We recommended viewing each of our products and comparing them to determine the best possible solution for your needs. Alternatively, contact our team for more information on (02) 9649 2111. We can provide expert recommendations and advice based on years of experience.
Not necessarily. Many of our arm assist devices are based on a mechanical mechanism and do not require an external power source. Others like the JACO Robotic Arm source their power from electric wheelchairs. Rather than needing to be charged, the JACO Robotic Arm can be disassembled or removed while your electric wheelchair is charged.
Not at all! All of our arm assistive devices are lightweight and portable, making them very easy to assemble and disassemble as needed. Some can even be disassembled in as little as 20 seconds!
Absolutely. The Armon range, for example, can also be used in professional settings to prevent pains and conditions like RSI/CANS. Because the weight of the employee’s arm is compensated by the assistive device, the constant pressure on the back, neck and shoulders is noticeably reduced.
The support can also improve your employee’s posture.
Armon devices are suitable for:
Yes! If this is your first time using an arm assist device, you may feel uncertain about how it all works and how to achieve smooth, confident movement with the device. Our team has extensive experience setting up and using arm assistive devices, so we’d be more than happy to provide a demonstration prior to your purchase.
One of our team members can come to your location and perform a demonstration so you can gain a better understanding of how arm assist devices work and feel more confident about your purchase. We can show how to adjust your assistive device or robotic arm, how to maximise comfort and move more efficiently using the device.
